A Naples, Florida (U.S.) teacher has been arrested and charged with stalking her ex-husband’s wife Thursday as the woman dropped off her stepson at school.
The victim — who was described as shaken and very upset, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office report — said Haley Bright Marotto, 32, had been following her for about 15 minutes.
She said she was scared because she had received several physical threats of violence via cell phone and in person from the suspect.
The victim said she initially saw Marotto standing outside and then later saw her parked next to her own vehicle in the lot of Heights Elementary.
Later, the victim said the suspect followed her around while she drove for several minutes, even into the parking lot of a 7-Eleven convenience store.
The victim finally pulled into a sheriff’s sub-station for help, where Marotto was arrested and charged with harassing and cyberstalking.
